Software Tester Apprentice in City of Westminster

Join Channel 4\’s Apprenticeship Programme as a Software Tester Apprentice. This full-time role offers four days a week in the office and one day of formal learning, with a 60/40 split between office and remote work.

Responsibilities

• Work with project teams to maintain functional and performance quality of applications.
• Develop a good knowledge of business processes and applications.
• Analyse business requirements to identify key test areas.
• Plan test approach for each project.
• Create and manage tests for integration, performance and security where relevant.
• Run tests and track results.
• Work with development teams to resolve issues.
• Report progress on all testing activities.

• Support UAT with business owners where required.

  You must be 18 years or older at the start of the scheme.

• Support care-experienced applicants and will provide suitable interview arrangements where possible.

Qualifications & Requirements

• Have a Grade C (4) or above in Maths & English GCSE.
• Must not have already completed the qualification being offered or a similar one.
• Applicants should be school leavers or people who do not have a degree.
• Verbal and written communication skills.
• Attention to detail.
• Organisation skills and ability to prioritise tasks.
• Understanding of and passion for Channel 4\’s remit.
• Confirmation of Maths & English GCSE Grade C (4) or above.
• Good general IT knowledge.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to follow instructions, work independently and within a team.
• Willingness to learn and a keen attitude.
• Basic salary per annum starting from £26,742.00.
