The Commercial Finance function comprises the FP&A team, and Finance Business Partners who are aligned to the C4 strategic business pillars, in order to provide a centralised planning and analysis function. The FP&A team is a critical part of the Finance Function, working closely with all of the Business Partnering teams as well as the Group Reporting function to actively manage our financial performance. As we embark on an ambitious and complex transformation project in the technology function, this role will be the key point person within the finance function, owning the business case, and supporting the key stakeholders on a day to day basis. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES Transformation Project Finance Lead Own and maintain the business case, modelling out different scenarios, evaluating the impact of changing inputs and drivers on costs, benefits, revenue & KPIs & able to clearly articulate this to the business Business partner to overall project lead, commercial negotiator, legal lead and various stakeholders around the business Report and interpret monthly financial results, able to clearly present to business owners and prepare regular performance reporting to track project performance vs forecast Responsible for updating forecast, budgeting and long-range planning -and any deliverables required by FP&A Modelling out and evaluating impact of commercial negotiation strategies, providing sound recommendations and flagging key risks Responsible for change log management and audit of version controls Work with Group Reporting team to ensure compliance with any accounting standards Provide ad-hoc support for SFM, FP&A and Director of Finance where required ESSENTIAL EXPERIENCE Qualified Accountant with at least 2+ years’ post qualified experience Excellent communication and presentation skills, comfortable interacting with, and providing constructive challenge to the business Excellent financial analysis and modelling skills (Advanced Excel skills, experience of data visualisation tools e.g. Power BI) is a bonus Excellent power point skills and ability to narrate the latest financial picture to both technical and creative stakeholders Experience partnering with commercial, PMO and legal execs Must have experience of being finance lead for a high value, complex technology transformation programme – knowledge of streaming platforms and related tech is a bonus Ability to work at pace and comfortable with ambiguity Strong eye for detail and know your numbers High levels of personal credibility, professionalism and ethical standards Self-starter with ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver under tight deadlines. Strong influencing and negotiation skills, able to provide robust but constructive challenge to senior leaders, business owners and executives Hybrid Working From September 2023 employees will be working minimum 3 days per week in their office location. The other 2 days should be working from home. This is to create more time for collaboration, creativity, learning and feedback. We also have a working from another location policy for up to 10 days.
