Part-Time Barista & Customer Service Assistant
At Chango, we're passionate about serving delicious empanadas, great coffee and creating a warm, welcoming experience for every customer.
We're looking for an enthusiastic, experienced and customer-focused Part-Time Barista to join our team at our Clapham Common shop.
We're looking for someone who enjoys working in hospitality, takes pride in delivering excellent customer service and knows how to create a welcoming atmosphere. As one of the faces of Chango, you'll play an important role in making sure every customer has a great experience.
What you'll be doing:
- Preparing and serving high-quality coffee and espresso-based drinks.
- Heating and serving our delicious Argentinean empanadas.
- Taking orders, handling payments and assisting customers.
- Providing friendly, attentive and outstanding customer service.
- Building relationships with customers and creating a welcoming atmosphere.
- Maintaining a clean, organised and inviting shop environment.
- Supporting the team with daily shop operations.
What we're looking for:
- Previous barista and customer service experience is essential.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- A friendly, positive and approachable personality.
- Confidence working in a fast-paced environment.
- Reliability, punctuality and a strong work ethic.Flexibility to work different shifts.
- Availability to work weekends is essential.
- A genuine interest in coffee, food and Argentinean empanadas!
Position Details
- Location: Chango Clapham Common (SW4 0HY)
- Job Type: Part-time
- Availability: Weekdays and weekends (weekend availability required).
- Pay: £12.71–£15.00 per hour, depending on experience and skills.
