Changing Suits is looking for a compassionate and culturally aware Domestic Abuse Support Worker to support individuals from South Asian communities. You’ll provide one-to-one support, help clients access services, and play a key role in promoting safety, empowerment, and recovery.

Key responsibilities

  • Provide 1:1 emotional and practical support to individuals affected by domestic abuse
  • Support clients with safety planning and accessing relevant services
  • Deliver community awareness sessions and presentations
  • Attend and contribute to multi-agency meetings
  • Maintain accurate, confidential case records
  • Signpost clients to appropriate support services

Requirements

  • Fluent in English and at least one of the following: Hindi or Konkani (essential)
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work empathetically with vulnerable individuals
  • Understanding of safeguarding and confidentiality

Desirable

  • Experience working in domestic abuse or support services
  • Experience working with South Asian communities
  • Ability to assess needs and provide tailored support
