Reporting to: AI & Power Platform Lead
About the Company:
Changing Social is a Microsoft Partner specialising in AI Workplace Transformation. We lead organisations through the design, delivery, and scaling of Microsoft 365, Copilot, Copilot Studio, Power Platform, and Viva — embedding AI into everyday business through agents, apps, and automations that support real operational workflows. Founded in October 2018, we are headquartered in Bristol, England, and operate across the UK and US with a team of around 50 people. We work with organisations that want to move beyond experimentation and make AI a practical, trusted, and repeatable part of how work gets done.
At Changing Social, we value curiosity, confidence, and capability. We look for people who ask better questions, form clear points of view, and can turn intent into outcomes. This is how we help our customers move from early adoption to AI becoming business as usual.
Role Overview
This role exists to deliver high-quality Power Platform and Copilot Studio solutions across multiple client engagements. You will own delivery end-to-end, from discovery through build, deployment, and handover. The role sits within the Power Platform & Copilot team and works closely with change, delivery, and account teams. It is suited to a senior consultant who is hands-on, self-directed, and comfortable making delivery decisions without constant oversight.
What You’ll Be Accountable For:
- Owning delivery of Copilot Studio and Power Platform solutions across multiple client engagements (discovery → build → release → handover).
- Leading discovery to define outcomes, success metrics/ROI, acceptance criteria, and delivery approach.
- Designing solution architecture and integration patterns across Dataverse, M365, APIs/connectors, and (where needed) on-premises data gateways.
- Building Copilot Studio agents that combine grounded knowledge with actions/automations to deliver measurable business outcomes.
- Leading Power Automate implementations (cloud + desktop flows) using event-driven orchestration, robust error handling, and appropriate human-in-the-loop controls.
- Translating requirements into scalable, maintainable solutions (data model, security model, solution structure, performance considerations).
- Implementing ALM and release management (solutions, pipelines, environment strategy, versioning, deployment/rollback).
- Applying security and compliance-by-design (DLP, least privilege, auditing/telemetry, data access controls), including Copilot-related considerations.
- Ensuring quality and operational readiness (testing approach, documentation, runbooks, support handover).
- Managing stakeholders, risks, and scope; communicating clearly and escalating early when delivery outcomes are at risk.
- Supporting the evolution of Power Platform and Copilot service offerings, including governance models and delivery accelerators, and providing technical expertise during pre-sales and solution shaping discussions.
What Good Looks Like in This Role:
Within 6–12 months, you are trusted to lead end-to-end delivery across client engagements with minimal oversight. You deliver Copilot Studio agents and Power Platform solutions that are secure, scalable, well-governed, and consistently pass architectural and security review. Clients rely on your judgement to manage scope, risks, and trade-offs clearly. Internally, you elevate delivery standards (ALM, quality, documentation), mentor others where needed, and reduce avoidable escalations through proactive ownership.
Required Experience & Skills:
- 5+ years delivering Microsoft Power Platform solutions in production, including ownership of design, build, test, deployment, and handover.
- Proven hands-on experience building Microsoft Copilot Studio Agents (or Power Virtual Agents), delivering task-focused agents that drive measurable outcomes.
- Deep hands-on experience with Power Automate (cloud flows), including robust error handling, monitoring, and supportable patterns.
- Comfortable working with JSON, Power Fx, and connector schemas to support integration and automation scenarios.
- Proven ability to deliver multiple client engagements in parallel, managing priorities, risks, and dependencies.
- Experience working in a consulting / Microsoft Partner / client delivery environment with senior stakeholder exposure.
- Strong capability in requirements discovery, translating business needs into secure, scalable solutions with clear acceptance criteria.
- Strong written and spoken English, including conversational design for agents and clear client-facing documentation.
- Sound delivery judgement: able to work independently, make trade-offs explicit, and escalate appropriately when outcomes are at risk.
- Experience with RPA / attended & unattended automation (e.g., Power Automate desktop) and selecting RPA appropriately vs API-first automation.
- Strong integration experience across Dataverse, Microsoft 365, and third-party systems; confident with API and connector-based patterns.
- Practical experience with Microsoft Graph API, app registrations, and permission models (delegated vs application).
- Practical experience with Power Platform governance / administration (environments, DLP, access control, monitoring) and applying client guardrails.
- Experience implementing ALM for Power Platform (solutions, environments, release management/pipelines) and raising delivery quality through standards.
- Familiarity with scripting or coding languages (e.g., Python, TypeScript) to support advanced integration or AI scenarios.
- Exposure to Azure AI Foundry (model configuration, grounding strategies, prompt flows, or AI safety controls).
- Relevant Microsoft certifications (preferred, not required), such as: PL-200: Microsoft Power Platform Functional Consultant, PL-900: Power Platform Fundamentals (baseline), Microsoft 365 Certified: Copilot and Agent Administration Fundamentals (Copilot governance/ops awareness).
