The Sessional Gardener will play an important role in keeping the gardens and outdoor communal areas at The Vineries tidy, safe, welcoming, and well cared for.
The successful candidate will carry out straightforward, routine gardening tasks including weeding, trimming shrubs and hedges, watering, basic lawn care, sweeping outdoor areas, and simple seasonal planting.
Working with the Project Lead and staff team, the gardener will complete agreed priorities, use and store tools safely, and report hazards, damaged equipment, or work that requires specialist attention.
The role focuses on basic garden upkeep and does not require complex landscaping, tree surgery, or specialist horticultural work.
Where appropriate, the gardener may support young people to take part in simple gardening activities.
Through this work, the gardener will help create pleasant outdoor spaces that support well-being and give young residents an opportunity to develop practical skills and pride in their home.
