The Support Worker plays a crucial role within Changing Lives, providing information, advice, and guidance. Undertaken via referral and direct individual support, the Support Worker\’s aim is to enable service users to live independently and work towards overcoming the interconnected problems that lead them to access our services. Your key activities will include:
- Working individually or as part of a team to build productive relationships with individuals accessing the Changing Lives service.
- Supporting, listening, guiding, and signposting service users to receive the necessary support to manage their physical environment.
- Building relationships on a one-to-one basis or within a group environment to provide key support to service users and enhance their personal wellbeing.
- Carrying out regular building health and safety inspections, identifying risk factors, responding accordingly, and performing basic repairs where required.
- Ensuring that the standards of the building are maintained by following designated tasks, whilst maintaining high levels of cleanliness, order, and sanitation, meeting all legal and statutory requirements to operate safely, effectively, and efficiently.
- Empowering service users to improve their life skills through workshops or signposting to external agencies that can support in this area.
