About the Service – Housing & Homelessness Services

A safe home is the solid base from which you build your life. We support people who are experiencing homelessness, or at risk of becoming homeless, as well as providing specialist accommodation and outreach services for rough sleepers, veterans, survivors of domestic abuse, women and young people.

Accommodation to us doesn’t just mean a roof over your head and shelter from the elements. It needs to be a welcoming and flourishing environment, offering opportunities for all those we support to feel comfortable and develop. You can make a difference and support people on their journey towards a brighter future. At Changing Lives, we offer a home rather than just a shelter.

About the Job

As a Project Worker you will work closely with other professionals and agencies to provide a co-ordinated service within the multi-agency framework for the Halton Homelessness strategy. Project workers will engage with residents and build trusting therapeutic relationships in order to facilitate a successful move into their own tenancy. You will act as named key worker underpinning your work with the principles and ethos of Changing Lives, you will also be skilled in engagement, motivational interviewing and problem solving approaches. As Project Worker you will support residents to enhance the confidence and coping abilities of tenants through encouragement and positive feedback. To enable tenants to develop skills in planning and self-organisation and to encourage them to maintain appointments and commitments. To have the ability to maintain boundaries for the expectations of residents including acceptable/ unacceptable conduct, engagement with key working sessions, compliance with flat checks etc. To provide residents with non-judgemental support service identifying their skills, interest’s strengths and resources.
