About the Service - Housing & Homelessness Services
A safe home is the solid base from which you build your life. We support people who are experiencing homelessness, or at risk of becoming homeless, as well as providing specialist accommodation and outreach services for rough sleepers, veterans, survivors of domestic abuse, women and young people. Accommodation to us doesn’t just mean a roof over your head and shelter from the elements. It needs to be a welcoming and flourishing environment, offering opportunities for all those we support to feel comfortable and develop. About the Job
We are seeking a female project worker to join our small, dedicated team in our 12-bed women’s direct-access accommodation at Cumberland House. We support women experiencing homelessness, often alongside trauma, domestic abuse, mental-health challenges, or substance use. You will provide day-to-day support, complete support plans and risk assessments, and work closely with partner agencies to help residents move towards safety, stability, and independent living. The role is varied, hands-on, and deeply rewarding. We’re looking for someone compassionate, resilient, and able to build trust with women who may be wary of services. Experience in homelessness, domestic abuse, or related fields is helpful, but strong values and transferable skills matter most. If you’re committed to empowering women to rebuild their lives, we’d love to hear from you. Due to the nature of the service, only female applicants need apply.
