Changing Lives is a nationwide charity delivering services to support people facing challenging circumstances, with a focus on helping them achieve safe homes, meaningful work, and a life free from addiction or abuse.

About the Service:

We run services and dedicated women’s centres for those at risk or facing challenging circumstances, including women in the criminal justice system and those with experience of trauma, selling sex or sexual exploitation. The work is underpinned by an understanding of trauma and a focus on recovery, resilience and community integration.

About the Job:

Funded by the National Lottery Community Fund, the ASE Partnership brings together organisations to provide trauma-informed support for women who have been groomed for sexual exploitation across the North East and Yorkshire. This role will provide support on a 1-1 basis to women experiencing sexual exploitation, facilitate drop-ins, and deliver therapeutic group work. The role will also involve developing innovative solutions to help women address immediate needs and crises, and supporting women with disclosures of sexual violence and the police process.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide 1-1 support to women experiencing sexual exploitation
  • Facilitate drop-in sessions and deliver therapeutic group work
