Overview
We are seeking an Energy Advisor to provide free, impartial advice to householders in South East Scotland. The role is hybrid, first point of contact for customers and involves giving personalised recommendations on energy efficiency, renewables, and water saving.
Responsibilities
- Serve as the first point of call for householders needing advice on reducing bills and environmental impact.
- Take inbound calls and make outbound calls to existing customers.
- Explain technical information to non‑technical audiences.
- Identify customers in fuel poverty and refer them to grants and funding.
- Maintain accurate records and follow up on customer action plans.
Qualifications
- Passion for helping people and strong communication skills.
- Experience engaging with customers is preferred.
- Basic IT skills and a stable internet connection required.
- Interest in environmental sustainability is an advantage but not essential.
- Willingness to undergo training to obtain the City & Guilds Energy Awareness in the Home qualification.
Training & Development
Immediately begin learning about our services and energy efficiency. The induction programme includes working towards the City & Guilds Energy Awareness in the Home qualification, with ongoing coaching, mentoring and development support.
