The predicted salary is between 30000 - 40000 £ per year.

Full time (35 hours per week) - Fixed Term to 31st March 2027 with possible extension, subject to funding. Proposed start date 24th August 2026.

We are looking for a self-motivated individual with a passion for customer service and working with community organisations to join us as a Development Officer. The successful candidate will provide impartial advice in assisting community organisations to explore and develop renewable energy project ideas. They will work with these organisations to apply for funding and deliver projects and initiatives that include decarbonising heat in community buildings, renewable energy generation and shared ownership stakes in commercial developer schemes.

You will have excellent communication and customer service skills. Knowledge of the renewable sector and experience in assisting with funding applications would be an asset in this role.

The CARES Development Officer will be an employee of Changeworks and will also become a member of the Local Energy Scotland Team delivering the Scottish Government's Community and Renewable Energy Scheme (CARES). Initially 35 hours per week. (Slightly reduced hours may be considered for the right candidate).
