About you:

Essential

  • Significant experience at Registered Manager or Service Manager level within adult social care.
  • Experience of managing Learning Disability, Autism and/or Mental Health services regulated by CQC
  • Strong knowledge of CQC regulations, safeguarding responsibilities, quality assurance process and regulatory compliance.
  • Professional qualification or relevant workplace experience (ideally with level 5 care manager qualification)
  • Experience of managing staff related matters including investigations, grievances, disciplinary, capability and absence
  • Confident communicator with excellent presentation and interpersonal skills with the ability to adapt quickly to changing operational priorities
  • Ability to manage a full and varied workload effectively to meet deadlines with the ability to work well under pressure.
  • Ability to work with other departments within Outlook Care and has positive relationships with others.
  • A customer driven problem solver who can identify solutions and instigate appropriate action and support staff teams promptly.
  • Strong analytical skills and is committed to continuous improvement
  • Focused on performance, resource conscious with a positive and enthusiastic outlook
  • Resilient and pragmatic, understanding the commitment to a positive work/life balance
  • Strong interpersonal and people management skills.

Desirable

  • Experience of managing respite, assessment or crisis service or other fast-paced dynamic environments.
  • Qualification or training in PBS

Job Role:

The Intensive Support Manager will provide expert operational leadership, management support and intervention across Outlook Care’s Learning Disability services. Acting as a peripatetic manager, the post holder will be deployed flexibly across services where additional leadership, improvement, or management capacity is required. They will work alongside colleagues to rapidly assess service performance, identify risks, implement improvement plans and strengthen operational delivery of services providing visible, hands-on operational management and coaching to teams. They will ensure we are providing good or outstanding support to all customers in Services where they are deployed to by ensuring all delivery teams comply with all relevant legislation, systems, processes and policy and procedures.
