We’re looking for an experienced Senior Practitioner to join our Hearing Voices service in Fife, working on a new strand within the service that focuses on Early Intervention and Self-Management. The service supports people who have recently been diagnosed with psychosis, are undergoing assessment for psychosis-related experiences, or who experience voices, intrusive thoughts or sensory disturbances. Support includes 1:1 support, peer support, self-management support, group activities and transition support delivered alongside statutory mental health services and community partners.
Alongside direct one-to-one, outreach and group support, you’ll be an experienced point of contact for colleagues, providing day-to-day guidance, supervision and support when situations are more complex.
Who are we looking for?
- Experience supporting people within mental health, community or recovery-focused services.
- Experience delivering structured 1:1 support and contributing to personal support plans.
- Strong communication, relationship-building and professional judgement.
- An understanding of risk, safeguarding and safe decision-making.
- A trauma-informed, person-centred and strengths-based approach.
- Work alongside your line manager to strengthen referral pathways and increase awareness of the service, building effective relationships with statutory mental health services, community partners, and other key stakeholders.
- An SVQ Level 3 in Social Services and Healthcare (Adults), equivalent qualification, or willingness to work towards one if required.
- SSSC registration, or willingness to register within six months.
- Experience supporting or supervising colleagues, facilitating groups, or working within a registered service would be particularly welcome.
- A driving licence and access to a vehicle are essential for this role.
