We have an opportunity for an IT Project Manager to lead the implementation of a low-code CRM / workflow automation platform within a growing financial services organisation. This is a hands-on delivery role in a low-maturity project environment, where governance, templates and delivery structures are still being established. The successful contractor will be expected to create structure while delivering, taking ownership of both delivery execution and light-touch governance setup.
What will you be doing?
- Lead the end-to-end implementation of the already selected low-code platform.
- Establish pragmatic, lightweight project governance.
- Create and maintain core delivery artefacts (plans, RAID logs, reporting, change control).
- Manage delivery across business and technical workstreams.
- Coordinate internal stakeholders, SMEs and third-party implementation partners.
- Facilitate workshops and support hands-on requirements gathering (BA activity required).
- Drive delivery momentum, proactively managing risks, issues and dependencies.
- Provide clear and consistent reporting to senior stakeholders.
What do you need to demonstrate to be successful?
- Proven IT Project Management delivering low-code CRM / workflow automation platforms.
- Strong stakeholder management across business and technical teams.
- Experience working in low-governance or immature delivery environments, where structure must be created.
- Hands-on hybrid Project Manager / Business Analyst capability.
- Experience running workshops and gathering requirements directly with business users.
- Financial Services sector experience (lending highly desirable).
- Jira experience.
About You
- Self-starter who can create structure in ambiguous environments.
- Hands-on and delivery focused (not purely governance / PMO-led).
- Strong facilitator and communicator.
- Comfortable “rolling sleeves up” and doing BA-style work.
- Pragmatic, adaptable and solutions-oriented.
- Able to influence without relying on formal hierarchy.
- Based within an easy commute to central Manchester.
The Engagement
- July start 6-month contract
- Outside IR35
- Hybrid working – 2 days per week onsite in Manchester / 3 days UK based remote working
Please note: Contractors must provide services via their own UK Limited Company (Director engagement only).
