Role Overview:
I’m seeking a Technology Risk and Controls Oversight Specialist to join this Technology Oversight team which will be based in Edinburgh. This team ensures that all regulatory requirements are identified and implemented within the technology space, focusing on EU jurisdictions such as Luxembourg and the United Kingdom
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain the technology oversight framework in line with UK regulatory expectations
- Implement and oversee processes related to the Digital Operational Resilience Act (DORA), ensuring compliance and integration within the technology framework
- Prepare relevant reports for the UK boards and fund boards
- Stay proactive and alert to new regulatory changes (both UK and global)
- Communicate regulatory changes around Information Technology to relevant stakeholders and prepare implementation plans
- Represent Information Technology during relevant regulatory inspections
- Advise on global control implementation and improvements
- Liaise with internal and external auditors
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience
- Experience in technology risk, technology oversight, technology audit, technology compliance or other regulatory related roles
- Strong knowledge of current UK technology regulatory requirements
- Excellent documentation skills (policies, KPIs, SLAs, etc.)
- Experience working in team-oriented, collaborative environments across multiple locations and time zones
- Self-motivated, detail-oriented, and proactive
- Strong interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills
- Logical, analytical, and problem-solving abilities
