Change Accountancy and Finance are supporting one of Glasgow’s leading professional services businesses as they continue to grow their presence in the city. A newly created role, the management accountant will be responsible for reviewing intercompany cost movements and ensuring their accuracy across department areas. An important role within the business, working with a range of stakeholders, the post will be key in understanding different costs and cost centres, ensuring that these are correctly applied and recharged, and handling queries and questions which arise from this.
Strong excel and interpersonal skills are key for the role, with an expectation to investigate discrepancies and explain these with various individuals in the business. Key duties will include;
- Weekly and monthly reconciliation of cost items, ensuring they are accurately allocated to the ledger
- Review of intercompany transactions and ensuring recharges to appropriate cost centres
- Posting of prepayments and accruals as required at month end
- Investigation of discrepancies, working to explain these to the business
- Maintain close relationships with the business to handle queries and questions
- Developing reporting and analysis covering segments, PO and wider spend for the business
- Confident using excel to filter and manipulate financial data in to a format for reporting
- Additional support and analysis as required on a monthly and quarterly basis

Salary: £35,000 - £45,000
Hybrid: 2 / 3 days in office
