Financial Reporting Assistant Manager – Consulting Firm

Location: Edinburgh or Glasgow
Contract: Permanent | Flexible working (3 days)

About the Role

We’re looking for experienced Financial Reporting Assistant Managers to join a dynamic, growth-focused team. This is an exciting opportunity to work on diverse compliance projects and advisory engagements in a collaborative environment. You’ll play a key role in preparing and reviewing statutory financial statements under FRS 102 and IFRS, including consolidated accounts, while managing a small portfolio of clients.

What You’ll Do

• Prepare and review statutory financial statements under FRS 102 and IFRS.
• Manage client portfolios and act as the day‑to‑day contact.
• Lead projects with strong financial and project management skills.
• Collaborate with audit, tax, and technical teams to deliver high-quality outcomes.
• Contribute to business development and team training initiatives.

What We’re Looking For

• Qualification: ACA, ACCA, CA or equivalent.
• Strong technical knowledge of FRS 102, IFRS, and consolidations.
• Hands‑on experience with Caseware and Silverfin.
• Ability to work independently and hit the ground running.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Willingness to travel, including occasional work from London.
• Experience in advisory projects and technical accounting research.
