Change Financial Services are supporting our high-profile client with the recruitment of a Finance Business Partner, focusing on the reporting and planning of costs for various business areas. The posts are responsible for taking a key role in managing stakeholders and the strategic engagement with your business area to understand key drivers and be part of the conversation on future growth and drivers – bringing the numbers to life and adding context to these, as well as the wider implication of decision making.
This role will be on an initial 12 month contract basis, with scope to becoming a permanent post. Engaging with the business and finance professionals, excellent communication skills and a background in delivering commercial messaging is key, basing these discussions in a strong financial planning and analysis skill set. Presenting at board level, you will be able to craft narrative on business performance, using data to highlight key trends to aid in insight and analysis.
Core duties of the role will include:
- Lead on strategic insight and engagement with the business to partner on financial and non-financial metrics, with a focus on Cost reporting
- Lead on monthly forecast review and analysis of variance and wider factors.
- Development of models and insight, viewing long term plans, with a 3 to 5 year scope
- Presentation of monthly insight packs to senior stakeholders within the business, leading on Q&A
- Modelling of key themes and scenario planning as you partner the business
- Demonstrating commercial awareness and savvy, being in tune with the business and wider market
- Critical insight to spend versus cost analysis against a range of products
- Embracing new technology and its role in automation
- Engagement with a wide range of product SMEs across the business
Applicants will be able to show a level of commercial awareness and partnering experience from either a similar role in Financial Services or a business that has multiple revenue streams which form part of monthly reporting. Experience with tools to enhance reporting outputs, where you are able to show that edge and confidence with numbers, when presenting and partnering non-finance professionals is key to success.
In return, the role offers a high level of stakeholder interaction and progression within the business, as well as seeing tangible outputs across the business area that you partner.
Salary: £55,000- £65,000 + strong benefits package
