Change Accountancy and Finance are partnering with our client on an exclusive basis to recruit an interim accountant to their team. For an initial 6 month basis, the role will be responsible for supporting across a range of operational finance duties, end to end invoice processing and month end close with supporting reporting duties, as they experience a period of growth and change in the department.
Applicants will be either part qualified or qualified and come with strong experience in operational finance duties as well as month end close, with the ability to adapt to a range of duties as they arise. This role will be within scope of IR35 and on a daily rate basis.
Key duties of the role will cover the following:
- Responsible for a range of month end close activities with supporting commentary for month end packs
- General ledger reconciliation and posting of supporting journal entries
- Performing intercompany and bank reconciliations
- End to end transactional processing, managing the invoice approval process through to payment
- Assisting in cash flow forecasting, analysis and commentary
- Proactive engaging with the wider finance team, resolving queries and building relationships across departments
Applicants for the role will be able to demonstrate their month end close experience as well as strong communication. Key for our client is an individual that will get up to speed quickly and be confident asking for help where needed. Core operational finance experience is a must and experience using Xero would be of benefit.
