Change Accountancy are supporting our client as they look to appoint a Management Accountant to their team. A permanent role, based in Dundee, the role will take a lead in supporting the department across a range of budget setting and reporting activities to ensure a robust control over costs and monitoring of these to aid in decision making.
Strong interpersonal skills is a must for the role and being able to speak to finance and non-finance stakeholders. A solid grounding in management account is expected given the nature of the role, key duties will cover the following:
- Monthly analysis and review of departmental costs and spend
- Allocation of costs and analysis of key drivers
- Working with department heads to help understand performance and highlight areas of concern
- Quarterly business unit review and analysis, working with stakeholders to determine key trends
- Monthly reconciliations
Applicants will be qualified with experience in a similar role, with a proven background in budget setting and monthly management and reporting of trends to the business. The ability to present and be comfortable analysing financial data to identify key trends and translate variances to budget is important for the business and will be discussed at interview.
