General Insurance Actuarial Director – London

We’re looking for a senior actuarial leader to join an expanding team in London. The role will support a broad mix of financial services clients, with general insurance at its core, but also extending into life insurance, health, banking and other non-traditional sectors.

The Actuarial & Risk practice delivers bespoke, commercially practical actuarial solutions. Your key responsibilities will include:

• Lead capital modelling and model validation projects across Lloyd’s and non-Lloyd’s clients.
• Manage end‑to‑end project delivery, ensuring high‑quality outputs, clear stakeholder communication and robust risk management.
• Support the development and coaching of junior team members, helping them progress and perform effectively.
• Contribute to business development by nurturing internal and external relationships and helping take the firm’s capital and model validation offerings to market.

Key experience and skills:

• Significant general insurance actuarial experience, particularly with strong capital modelling expertise.
• Part VII transfer involvement
• Lloyd’s Statements of Actuarial Opinion
• Understanding of the Solvency II / Solvency UK Standard Formula
• Experience generating or supporting business development activity
