Change Recruitment are delighted to be assisting a top 50 accountancy practice in the recruitment of an experience Assistant Accountant for their Paulton office near Bristol. This role will be supporting the Senior Accountant in the preparation and review of corporate management and statutory accounts.
This is a Part-Time role (ideally working Mon, Tues, Thurs, Fri 8:30am – 2:30pm, however there is flexibility in these hours).
Duties for this role include:
- Preparing and/or reviewing non-complex small company accounts and Corporation tax returns
- Drafting more complex small company accounts to be passed for completion and review by a senior team member
- Preparing a small portfolio of non-complex/dormant accounts and ensuring completion to deadline
- Basic dividend planning, with assistance
- Drafting basic partnership and non-resident company tax returns for review prior to submission
- Use of Xero for bookkeeping assistance and updating of clients records following accounts preparation
- Assistance with providing information to the UK and US tax teams on clients\’ corporate position
The ideal candidate will ideally be AAT qualified and have experience preparing and reviewing corporate company accounts within an accountancy practice environment. You will also have strong IT skills, in particular with Excel and ideally some exposure to Xero.
