Change Recruitment are delighted to be working with an established and well respected business in Weston-super-Mare who are looking to recruit a Purchase Ledger Supervisor into their finance team. The ideal candidate will have experience working in a high volume purchase ledger environment and be comfortable with all elements of ledger control. Also, experience working with/supporting the payroll function would be a huge advantage as this will also form part of the role.

Duties include:

  • Supervise the Purchase Ledger function, ensuring accurate and timely processing of supplier invoices and payments.
  • Work with internal departments to ensure the smooth processing of invoices.
  • Manage supplier statement reconciliations and investigate and resolve any discrepancies.
  • Support month-end and year-end financial processes relating to the purchase ledger.
  • Resolve supplier queries.
  • Process ad hoc payments, including proforma invoices.
  • Complete monthly credit card postings and reconciliations.
  • Assist with the processing of weekly payroll on a rota basis (Sage Payroll).
  • Support general office administration, including opening and distributing post.
  • This role will also include reporting using MS Excel, so you will need to feel comfortable analysing data on this system utilising lookup tables.
