Change.org is searching for a Senior Social Media Producer to bring expertise in both content creation (70% of role) and social media strategy (30% of role) to take Change.org’s social presence in the UK to the next level. Reporting to the Head of Communications, UK, you’ll lead and grow Change.org UK’s social media presence, driving impressions through original and reactive short‑form video and image‑based content across platforms including Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, and YouTube Shorts. You will own the content calendar, write clear and accurate social copy, manage influencer relationships, and report on performance on a weekly, monthly and quarterly basis.
Key Outcomes:
- Lead and define an ambitious social media strategy, significantly growing the UK Change.org social media channels with a focus on brand awareness and affinity, and owning social KPIs aligned to UK comms and campaign goals, including impressions, engagement, and new user acquisition.
- Create both original and reactive short‑form video content for daily output on all social channels, with a focus on Instagram, TikTok, Facebook and YouTube Shorts.
- Juggle daily video and image‑based social output with more evergreen content, creative concepts and repeatable series.
- Own the social content calendar based on loyal and emerging audiences - with best practices in mind.
- Develop and execute an influencer engagement strategy to support priority campaigns, and track and report on performance and conversion impact.
The Most Important Core Competencies For The Role Are:
- Strong social media editing and strategy experience, with a genuine expertise in creating impactful and compelling short‑form video content.
- Editorially sound judgement and strong literacy skills, with the ability to write clear, concise, factually correct copy.
- Pro‑active at finding new ways to optimise content based on data, and developing social media strategies that grow following and engage target audiences.
- Proven track record of engaging audiences across platforms, especially TikTok and Instagram.
- Be comfortable appearing on‑camera to present videos when needed.
- Ability to build and own relationships with influencers that will help drive engagement goals.
- A good understanding of the UK news and campaigns landscape, and the ability to generate ideas based on current trends and issues.
- Willingness to work across differences, including providing support to policy‑compliant campaigns that you may not agree with.
- Expertise in a suite of video and content editing tools, such as Adobe Premiere and CapCut.
- Experience engaging politically diverse or sceptical audiences.
- Experience building narratives around live campaigns, not just producing reactive content, would be an advantage.
- Experience of harnessing AI to streamline and support your work, alongside a willingness to keep learning in this area.
Target Experience:
- 5+ years in a social output facing role, working in a fast‑paced environment.
- Experience managing large brand accounts and growing them substantially.
- Experience of leading on social for a major UK media brand or campaign organisation would be desirable.
