Requirements

  • Deep knowledge of macOS, including both the GUI and the command line.
  • Experience manually configuring macOS, including native security features, to implement security lockdowns such as NCSC Device security guidance for macOS or CIS Hardening guidelines.
  • Experience setting up and using the Jamf suite, including Jamf Pro, Jamf Protect, Jamf ZTNA, and Jamf Connect, to manage a fleet of MacBooks.
  • Experience using Jamf for Mobile Device Management (MDM), patch management, endpoint detection and response (EDR), and Secure Access Service Edge (SASE).
  • Experience using Jamf Pro with a Terraform provider and a CI/CD pipeline to provision MacBooks from Infrastructure as Code (IaC), including writing supporting scripts.
  • Experience providing IT support to end users of MacBooks.
  • Ability to produce high‑quality technical documentation.
  • Active SC Clearance required.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Entra ID would be advantageous.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Defender for Endpoint would be advantageous.
  • Knowledge of Zscaler ITA and ZPA would be advantageous.

Responsibilities

  • Join a large Central Government organisation in London as an IT Specialist supporting IT Support/EUC.
  • Manage and support MacBooks across the fleet using Jamf and related tooling.
  • Configure and harden macOS devices in line with security guidance and lockdown requirements.
  • Use Jamf Pro, Terraform, and CI/CD to provision MacBooks from Infrastructure as Code.
  • Provide IT support to end users of MacBooks.
  • Produce clear and high‑quality technical documentation.
