We are recruiting an experienced Assistant General Manager for one of the UK's leading high-profile beachfront restaurants on the Hampshire coast. This is a standout opportunity to join a premium, high-volume destination venue renowned for exceptional food, service, and its iconic seaside location.

The Role

Reporting to the General Manager, the Assistant General Manager will support the day-to-day running of the restaurant, taking a hands‐on leadership role across front‐of‐house operations and service delivery. You will be confident managing busy services, leading large teams, and maintaining high standards in a fun, fast‐paced, seasonal environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support the General Manager in all operational and commercial aspects
  • Lead and manage front‐of‐house teams during service
  • Ensure consistently high standards of service and guest experience
  • Assist with recruitment, training, and development of the team
  • Manage rotas, staffing levels, and labour costs
  • Handle guest feedback and complaints professionally
  • Support stock control, cash handling, and reporting
  • Ensure compliance with health & safety and licensing regulations

The Ideal Candidate

  • Previous experience as an Assistant General Manager, Restaurant Manager, or similar
  • Proven background in high-volume, premium or destination hospitality
  • Strong leadership and people‐management skills
  • Commercially aware with a hands‐on, proactive approach
  • Organised, resilient, and calm under pressure
  • Passionate about hospitality and delivering memorable guest experiences
