Our Young Person Resilience Workers play an integral role within Change Grow Live, engaging young people in a range of interventions, using a young person-centred approach, and empowering our young service users to reduce risk, increase resilience and lead safer, happy, and healthy lives. This is a unique chance to sculpt the creation of a brand-new role dedicated to supporting young people who use vapes. We’re looking for a passionate, forward-thinking individual to join our team and, with the guidance of our Team Leader, bring this role to life within a large organisation.

About the role
  • Engage young people in a range of interventions, utilising a young person‑centred approach, empowering them to reduce risk, increase resilience and lead a safer, happy and healthy life.
  • Support young service users from point of entry into the service and through their journey.
  • Engage young people who are using vapes and provide them with advice, support and interventions to support their health and wellbeing needs.
  • Provide screening, assessment, psychosocial interventions, integrated care planning, post‑treatment support, including transfer of care.
  • Identify and respond effectively to potential safeguarding issues.
  • Reduce vaping‑related harm to young service users.
  • Support and provide advocacy for young people by participating in all relevant multi‑agency meetings, including Child Protection meetings, Complex Case Review panels and Team Around the Child meetings.
About you
  • Experience of working with young people.
  • Knowledge of safeguarding concerns in relation to children and young people.
  • Understanding of vapes and vaping issues and experience of working within a related field.
  • Accomplished written and verbal communication skills and a high degree of personal IT competency.
  • Knowledge of evidence‑based practice around young people’s substance misuse treatment services and methods, including relevant best practice guidance.
  • A commitment to multi‑agency working and establishing partnerships with other professions to achieve good outcomes for young people.
  • Excellent team working and interpersonal skills, maintaining a highly cooperative approach to supporting colleagues in delivering service objectives.

Where: London Borough of Ealing
Hours: Full‑time, 37.5 per week
Salary: Ā£27,861.26 – Ā£32,002.35 Pro‑Rata, depending on experience.
Allowance: Ā£4,133.14 Inner London Weighting Pro‑Rata
