Would you like to join our growing team of volunteers and make a real difference? 1625 Outreach is no normal drug and alcohol service. It is an innovative and forward‑thinking project with a proven track record of effectively engaging young people and young adults. Our ethos is centred around the principles of harm reduction. We provide non‑judgmental, fact‑based information and advice surrounding drug and alcohol use and the associated risks. We aim to give young people and young adults the knowledge and skills to make more informed choices, to keep themselves and their peers aware, safe, and well when it comes to drugs/alcohol.

Working with those aged 16 to 25, you will support 1625 Outreach’s work across Derby, Derbyshire & Sheffield. The role could include engaging with and providing advice and information to young people in the following settings:

  • The Community (e.g. parks, youth centres, halls of residence)
  • Education settings (e.g. schools, colleges & universities)
  • Night‑time Economy outreach, supporting training with NTE staff and venues (nightclubs, street pastors, security staff)

As well as receiving extensive training and experience through this role, we hope you will also have lots of fun and enjoy your time volunteering with us. You’ll also meet other 1625 Outreach volunteers and have an opportunity to contribute to the important work 1625 Outreach does in your community.

We require you to be 18 years of age or older to be considered for this volunteering role. This post is subject to a Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check at an enhanced level.
