Volunteer Practitioner – Complementary TherapiesVolunteers make an enormous contribution to our work at Change Grow Live.
For more than 15 years, Complementary Therapies – including Acupuncture, Craniosacral Therapy, Reflexology and Shiatsu – have been on offer to clients at some drug and alcohol services. For those service users who are making a genuine effort to change their lives, a course of 6‐12 sessions can play a significant role in their recovery process by supporting their well‐being and self‐esteem.
Responsibilities
Come to the service for a morning or afternoon per week, to offer 2‐3 scheduled sessions.
Receive training, as with all staff.
Liaise with the Complementary Therapy Coordinator about appointments and for regular supervision.
Maintain your own professional indemnity insurance.
Travel expenses can be reimbursed.
Eligibility & Requirements
Professional indemnity insurance required.
Must be able to commit to a morning or afternoon per week.
No personal experience of drug and alcohol recovery required.
