Volunteer Children and Young People\\u2019s – Sandwell

Our Independent Visiting service is looking for volunteers in or near to Sandwell.

Overview

Join to apply for the Volunteer Children and Young People\\u2019s – Sandwell role at Change Grow Live.

Responsibilities

  • Volunteer mainly happens on weekends and after school hours as the young people are usually in school during the daytime.
  • Commitment of at least 24 months with one visit per month to ensure stability for the Child or Young Person.
  • Work with a child or young person to agree activities (e.g., cinema, bowling, football, restaurant visits, cycling, or park walks) and be matched with someone with common interests.

Qualifications

  • No prior experience with children and young people is required; an interest in their development and welfare is important.
  • Full training and ongoing support provided.
  • 2 to 4 hours available to spare per month; a genuine interest in making a difference to the lives of children and young people.

Additional details

We welcome volunteers from all cultures, backgrounds and experiences who are passionate about helping young people and making a difference in their lives.

DBS check at an enhanced level is required.
