Volunteer Assessment Worker

Volunteers make an enormous contribution to our work at Change Grow Live. Last year over 1400 volunteers donated over a quarter of million hours of their time to our organisation. Would you like to join our growing team of volunteers, and make a real difference?

We are looking for 3 motivated and committed volunteers to work with our point of access assessment team. The assessment team operates on an open access policy Monday to Thursday. Candidates must be able to commit to at least 2 days per week.

The successful volunteer will receive role specific training and a wide offer of accrediting learning. A mentor will be assigned and the volunteer will work towards a specific development plan. No special qualifications are required; training and support will be provided. All we ask is that you are kind, open‑minded and passionate about supporting people.

Training Dates

Attendance on training dates is an essential part of the volunteer role. Please check your availability to attend all sessions. All training is QLS accredited.

  • Mandatory: Volunteer induction training P1 4th November and P2 6th November 2025 10am‑2.30pm
  • Mandatory: Boundaries/Confidentiality training 7th November 2025 10am‑4pm
  • Required: Drug awareness training 20th November 2025 10am‑3pm
  • Required: Harm reduction training 21st November 2025 10am‑3pm
  • Required: Alcohol awareness training 24th November 2025 10am‑3pm
