Location and Hours
- Location: Sunderland Royal Hospital, Sunderland
- Full time hours: 37.5 hours per week
- Full time salary: £26091.00 – £27132.98 per annum (dependent on experience, pro rata for part time hours)
- Contract type: Fixed term for 24 months from start date
Responsibilities
- Assess and engage with service users, ensuring they access the right intervention at the right time, in a way that best meets their needs. No two days are the same and each person is treated as an individual; flexibility, curiosity and good listening skills are required.
Qualifications
- Strong understanding of substance misuse issues and experience working within a similar field
- Experience supporting and advising service users with complex needs to achieve successful outcomes
- Excellent communicator, both verbal and written, with good IT skills
- Proactive and able to work on own initiative with excellent time management and prioritising skills
- Good working knowledge of mental health interventions, services and good practice
- Supportive team player with strong interpersonal skills, able to work in partnership with a wide range of professionals, agencies and stakeholders
- Ability to manage change successfully with a people‑centred focus
- Understanding of information governance processes, committing to follow all necessary safeguards
- Eager to seek learning opportunities to broaden knowledge and skills and to contribute to others’ learning and development
