At Change Grow Live, we are committed to creating real and lasting change in people’s lives. Our Walthamstow Rough Sleeping Service delivers a proactive and compassionate approach to supporting individuals who are experiencing homelessness or engaged in street-based activity
We’re pleased to announce that we have successfully secured funding to expand our services and are now building dedicated multi-disciplinary team to provide wraparound support to those sleeping rough.
Our goal is to help people find pathways away from the street and towards safety, stability, and hope.
This service plays a vital role in helping individuals take their first steps away from homelessness. It’s an exciting time to join a team that is passionate, collaborative, and deeply rooted in the local community.
This role is all about making real connections. You will focus on engaging with people who are rough sleeping or at risk, offering person-centred support to help them access accommodation, healthcare, and other vital services. You will work closely with emergency accommodation teams and partner agencies to deliver integrated, wraparound support.
We’re looking for enthusiastic individuals who are open to a challenge. You’ll need a proactive attitude, compassion, and the resilience to work in a fast-paced, ever-evolving environment. Whether you have direct experience in outreach or transferable skills from related sectors, we’ll support your development.
Location Walthamstow, London
Hours Full-time (37.5 hours per week)
Salary £27,861.26 - £32,002.35 (pro rata for part-time hours)
Allowance £2,195.72 Outer London Weighting pro rata
Contract Type Fixed term until 31st march 2026

  • Please note Full-time hours at Change Grow Live are 37.5 hours per week. For part-time roles, the salary and payments will be pro rata based on contracted hours.

What you\'ll be doing
As an Outreach Worker, you’ll build consistent, trusting relationships with people experiencing rough sleeping. You’ll carry out assertive outreach shifts across the borough — early mornings, evenings, weekends, and in all weathers — meeting people where they are.
Your role will involve
  • Supporting individuals to access accommodation, health and wellbeing services, and welfare support
  • Empowering people to make informed decisions and regain control over their circumstances
  • Working collaboratively with local partners to create joined-up support pathways
  • Keeping accurate records and contributing to shared care planning
About you
We’re looking for someone who is
  • Passionate about supporting people and making a positive difference
  • Experienced in working with individuals who have multiple and/or complex needs
  • Skilled at building rapport with people from diverse backgrounds
  • A great communicator and team player who thrives in collaborative environments
  • Knowledgeable about issues such as homelessness, mental health, substance use or safeguarding (or willing to learn)
  • Comfortable working flexibly and thinking on their feet
