At Change Grow Live, we strive to ensure our services are warm and welcoming environments. Working within the Newcastle Stop Smoking team, as a Stop Smoking Advisor, you will be a vital part of the team.
You will provide a high-quality stop smoking service across Newcastle, delivered through interventions ranging from brief advice to structured programmes, supporting people to quit tobacco and lead healthier lives.
The interventions will be delivered face-to-face in the community and/or remotely, on an individual or group basis, including motivational interviewing techniques and the dispensing of Nicotine Replacement Therapies.
You will report directly to the Service Manager and collaborate with them and the community engagement team to build relationships in the local community. Your role is to provide a non-judgemental, supportive, and client-led service to help smokers on their quit journey towards a healthier, happier life.
Location: Newcastle
Hours: Full Time, 37.5 hours per week
Salary: £25,077.00 – £26,502.53, dependent on experience (based on full-time hours, pro-rata for part-time)
Contract: Fixed-term until 8th January 2026
Applicants should have an understanding of human behaviour related to smoking, be able to carry out assessments, and deliver interventions matched to individual needs, including behavioural support, motivational interviewing, and dispensing Nicotine Replacement Products.
You should possess excellent engagement skills, be committed to high-quality service provision, and actively involve service users.
