We have an exciting opportunity for a Family Recovery Coordinator who has the skills and experience to assess and engage with our service users and their families, ensuring that they access the right intervention at the right time, in a way that best meets their needs. No two days are the same and we treat every person who comes into our service as an individual, so being flexible, curious and a good listener are key.

Where: Based Dewsbury (may work across Kirklees)

Hours: Full Time, 37.5 hrs per week

Salary: £27,861.26 - £32,002.35 dependent on experience (Based on full time hours, pro rata for part time)

About the role:

  • Supporting service users from point of entry into the service and through their treatment/recovery journey
  • Reducing drug and alcohol related harm to service users and their family
  • Promoting carer, service user and community involvement
  • Providing advocacy for access to partnership services
  • Working with service users to support social (re)integration, enabling them to lead meaningful and purposeful lives promoting recovery, resilience, family relationships, peer support and self-determination
  • The role is based across the Kirklees area and as the family team we deliver our interventions within the community and family homes, driving is desired

About you:

  • Have a good understanding of substance misuse issues and experience of working with people
  • Be an excellent communicator, both verbal and skills in defensible documentation
  • Proactive and able to work on own initiative with excellent time management and prioritising skills
  • Have a good working knowledge of family services and frameworks and interventions for whole family practices
  • Be a supportive team player with strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work in partnership with a wide range of professionals, agencies, and internal/external stakeholders
  • Ability to manage change successfully in a way that prioritises the needs of service users
  • Ability to demonstrate professional curiosity, caseload management and flexibility to achieve personalised treatment and care
  • Understand the importance of information governance processes and commit to follow and apply all necessary safeguards
  • Seek out learning opportunities to improve and broaden your professional knowledge and skills and to contribute and oversee the learning and development of others
