We have an exciting opportunity for a Recovery Coordinator in York.
Location: York
Hours: Fulltime, 37.5 hours per week
Salary: £27,861.26 – £32,002.35 (based on full time hours, pro rata for part time)
Contract: Permanent
Responsibilities
- Supporting service users from entry into the service through their recovery journey;
- Providing screening, assessment, psychosocial interventions, recovery planning, and onward referral;
- Reducing drug and alcohol-related harm to service users and the wider community;
- Promoting involvement of carers, service users, and the community;
- Providing advocacy for access to partnership services;
- Supporting social reintegration to enable meaningful and purposeful lives, promoting recovery, resilience, peer support, and self-determination;
- Managing a caseload supporting individual goals.
The team offers a combination of telephone triage, advice, brief interventions, and onward signposting to universal services across York. The post holder will be the first point of contact for all inquiries into the York Drug and Alcohol Service, requiring extensive knowledge of local services and a \’no wrong door\’ approach. Flexibility, curiosity, and good listening skills are essential, as every day varies and each individual is treated uniquely.
