At Change Grow Live we strive to ensure our services are warm and welcoming environments and we are looking to hire a Packing Assistant. Working with the Be Smoke Free service, you will be a vital part of the team. You’ll work closely alongside our team to help support our new and existing service users on their smoke free journey. You’ll be packing Nicotine Replacement Therapies and other smoking cessation aids, working closely alongside Stop Smoking Advisors, Tobacco Addiction Specialist Nurses and Community Engagement Couriers, and providing administrative support to the wider Be Smoke Free team.

Full time – 37.5 hours per week

Contract Type

12 months Fixed Term Contract. For part‑time roles, the salary and payments will be pro‑rata based on contracted hours.

Duties for this role

  • Pack medications as directed through our Quit Manager system.
  • Provide new and existing service users with a friendly and welcoming experience, ensuring that queries are dealt with promptly and efficiently.
  • Contribute to managing an effective packing system, ensuring medications are chosen and packed correctly, and recording expiry dates and batch numbers accurately.
  • Access and record accurately on Delivery Request spreadsheets.
  • Help manage our delivery process and work alongside Community Engagement couriers to organise delivery routes.
  • Provide basic advice and information on the service offered, maintaining awareness of the wider organisation.
  • Take messages for staff and update case management contacts where appropriate.
  • Support the team with the packaging of medications for delivery, including managing the medication spreadsheet.
  • Ensure safe and organised storage of medication through prompt put‑away and efficient stock rotation.
  • Conduct regular stock management checks and elevate low stock to the appropriate level.
  • Order medication stock and office equipment to enable efficient packing from suppliers when required.

About You

  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and act within professional boundaries.
  • Experience communicating clearly and effectively with service users and team members.
  • A commitment to seek learning opportunities to improve and broaden your own professional knowledge and skills, and to contribute to and where relevant oversee the learning of others.
  • Excellent communication and organisational skills.
  • Willingness to actively participate in regular supervision.
  • Willingness to attend induction training and ongoing development training.
  • IT literacy, including use of Microsoft packages and databases.
