We currently have an opportunity for a passionate Senior Social Worker to join our team here in Norwich.

This is a key role within our senior leadership team, with responsibility for the line management of our team of Complex Needs workers and provide strategic oversight for our Families and Safeguarding offer and other strategic workstreams across the Service.

Location: Norfolk

Hours: Full time, 37.5 per week.

Full Time Salary Range: £45,585.72 - £53,329.99 based on experience

Contract Type: Permanent

Responsibilities

About the role: This is an exciting opportunity to continue the development of our already experienced team of Social Workers, social work apprentices and social work students, utilising reflective practice skills, coaching and collaborative approaches. The appointed candidate will role model and lead ethical and evidence-based practice, focusing on the experience for people who use services. They will be a specialist lead to the team, providing advice and consultation on risk, safeguarding and complex needs. They will facilitate empowerment of teams and individuals to increase knowledge, skills and professional confidence. They will provide professional accountability for complex decision making and work collaboratively with the multi-disciplinary team to establish safe and effective ways to work with people. The role will facilitate the development of strategic pathways that enable people that use our services to navigate the wider support system and to develop knowledge and skills across the sectors. You will be the strategic lead for identified, specific areas of the service i.e. Multi Agency Risk Assessment Conference (MARAC), Adults’ Safeguarding or Children Safeguarding, and attend relevant external meetings representing the service and the organisation locally, regionally and nationally. This role will play a key part in developing external relationships within integrated care systems and contributing to key strategic meetings, including building close working relationships with children and adult social care, criminal justice services, hospital safeguarding teams, health services.

About you:

  • Hold a valid qualification in Social Work and be registered with the regulatory body
  • Experience of leadership, motivating and inspiring individuals and teams
  • Experience of strategic decision making and influence utilising emotional intelligence and courage
  • Experience of and confidence in complex decision making related to SU issues, using defensible decision-making skills and clear communication.
  • Experience of culture and change management, staff engagement, and service improvement
  • Experience and knowledge on the working practice of Safeguarding Children and Vulnerable Adults
  • Hold a practice educator qualification
  • Be committed to demonstrating our organisational values in your daily practice.
