Hours: 30 per week
Contract Type: Permanent
Full-time hours at Change Grow Live are 37.5 hours per week. For part-time roles, the salary and payments will be pro rata based on contracted hours.

As an ISFL Recovery Worker at HMP Channings Wood, you'll support people to build confidence, develop resilience, and take positive steps towards long-term recovery.
Working within the Incentivised Substance Free Living (ISFL) wing, you'll deliver structured recovery programmes, facilitate therapeutic and educational groups, and help create a positive environment where individuals can develop the skills and motivation needed to sustain meaningful change.
Experience in substance misuse, criminal justice, mental health, social care, education, or a related field can be beneficial, but it isn't essential. If you have strong people skills, enjoy working with groups, and are passionate about helping others achieve their potential, we'll provide the training and support needed to succeed in the role.

What You'll Do
- Deliver structured recovery and psychosocial interventions.
- Facilitate group sessions such as SMART Recovery, Relapse Prevention, and Life Skills programmes.
- Support individuals throughout their recovery journey.
- Build positive relationships that encourage engagement and participation.
- Deliver creative and therapeutic activities that promote wellbeing.
- Work closely with healthcare teams, prison staff, and partner agencies.
- Support individuals to develop resilience, recovery skills, and greater independence.
- Contribute to risk management and safeguarding processes where required.

Experience in substance misuse, mental health, criminal justice, social care, education, youth work, coaching, mentoring, healthcare, or community services is welcomed but not essential. We value attitude, motivation, and transferable skills and will provide training to support your development.
