If you’re a newly qualified and passionate Social Worker with a deep commitment to supporting people with complex and multiple needs, this is your opportunity to lead with purpose. In this role, you’ll be part of a vibrant, multidisciplinary team, where your knowledge, values, and experience will help shape practice, guide others, and create safer, more hopeful futures for those we support.

We offer a comprehensive Assessed and Supported Year in Employment (ASYE) programme for those who haven’t yet completed it. This programme is designed to help you consolidate your university learning, build your professional capability, and grow your confidence in practice. As part of your two‑year fixed‑term contract, you’ll benefit from the support of a multi‑disciplinary team and manage a reduced caseload of around 20 families per year, giving you the space to develop your skills in a truly supportive environment. You’ll also have access to a wide range of training opportunities through our bespoke learning platform, ensuring your continued professional development.

Location: Dagenham

Hours & Salary: Full‑time hours: 37.5 per week. Salary range: £34,214.21 – £36,183.91, dependent on experience, pro rata for part‑time hours. Contract type: Fixed term for 2 years.

What you’ll be doing:

  • Respond flexibly to service user and team needs, including supporting complex cases
  • Develop team skills to improve case coordination for individuals with multiple and complex needs
  • Identify and build expertise to coach the team on issues such as substance misuse, domestic abuse, child exploitation, criminal justice, mental health, and safeguarding
  • Deliver bespoke training, workshops, and bite‑sized learning to enhance team capability
  • Strengthen professional relationships and partnership working to improve referral pathways
  • Complete administrative tasks accurately and to a high standard
  • Engage in continuous professional development through training, supervision, and independent learning
