Shape culture. Enable leaders. Drive system-wide change. At Change Grow Live, we don’t just develop people—we create the conditions where people, services and communities can succeed. Behind every life changed is a workforce that feels supported, capable and empowered to lead. Guided by our values—Be open, be compassionate and be bold—we are building an organisation that is built on evidence and compassion, and rooted in communities, aligned to our 2030 ambitions.
We are now looking for a National Organisational Development Lead to take ownership of how we grow leadership, capability and culture across a complex, national organisation. This is a pivotal leadership role operating at the intersection of organisational development, people practice and operational delivery.
You will lead the organisational development function—ensuring the right interventions happen at the right time, with the right impact - while working closely with senior leaders to navigate complexity, enable change and embed sustainable development across Change Grow Live.
Who we’re looking for
- You’re an experienced OD leader who thrives in complexity and knows how to translate strategy into meaningful, practical change.
- Experience leading OD in complex, multi-layered organisations.
- Strong understanding of the interface between OD and people practice.
- Experience designing and delivering leadership development at scale.
- Systems and complexity applied practice.
- A strong grounding in systems thinking, leadership development and culture change.
- The ability to exercise sound judgement in ambiguity and evolving contexts.
- Advanced facilitation, coaching and consultancy capability.
What sets this role apart
- You work inside the system—shaping it, not observing it.
- You influence senior leadership thinking and organisational direction.
- You decide when, where and how OD lands for maximum impact.
- You balance strategy, delivery and professional judgement in real time.
This is a role for someone who doesn’t just understand Organisational Development—you know how to make it work where it matters most.
The details
- Salary: £51,101.96 – £53,329.99
- Location: National role (hybrid, with regular travel). Your contractual base will be your nearest Change Grow Live RBU office to your home address.
- Please note: Full-time hours at Change Grow Live are 37.5 hours per week. For part-time roles, the salary and payments will be pro rata based on contracted hours.
- Salary is subject to review in line with the 2025/26 pay award.
Responsibilities
- Set the direction—not just the agenda. You’ll define where OD needs to land across a national system—shaping priorities, sequencing work and ensuring effort is focused on what will genuinely shift performance and culture.
- Lead where it’s complex. You’ll operate in the spaces where OD, People & Culture and operations collide—navigating ambiguity, competing demands and organisational pressure with clarity and sound judgement.
- Step into the work that matters most. You won’t stay at arm’s length. You’ll lead OD interventions with senior leaders and complex systems—ensuring delivery translates into real, sustained change—not well-delivered activity.
- Challenge and shape senior thinking. You’ll work directly with senior leaders—coaching, influencing and constructively challenging—to drive better decisions, stronger leadership and clearer accountability.
- Build leadership that lasts. You’ll shape how leadership is developed—embedding approaches that strengthen capability, build confidence and create a coaching-led culture that endures.
- Turn insight into direction. You’ll use data, diagnostics and organisational insight to bring clarity—helping the organisation see what matters, act with intent and continuously improve.
- Leave a legacy, not a dependency. Your impact won’t be measured by what you deliver—but by what remains: a stronger system, more capable leaders and OD that lands with purpose, precision and lasting effect.
What we offer
- 25 days annual leave (plus bank holidays), rising annually to 30 days.
- A paid weekly Wellness Hour, wellbeing hub and Employee Assistance Programme.
- Contributory pension scheme.
- A wide range of employee benefits and discounts.
- A supportive, values-led environment with learning, development and progression opportunities.
Our people commitment
- Creating the conditions for success for everyone who works and volunteers with us.
- Working together to deliver high-quality learning and organisational development that enables shared growth.
- Building a culture of belonging, where people feel valued, included and able to contribute.
Our 2030 ambition
- Being built on evidence and compassion in everything we do.
- Being rooted in communities, working alongside people and partners.
- Enabling our workforce to grow, develop and deliver outstanding services.
- Using data, insight and learning to continuously improve outcomes.
