Volunteering with Change Grow Live is a great way to make a real difference in people’s lives whilst gaining valuable experience. Whether you want to give back to your community, develop new skills, or meet like‑minded people, there are plenty of reasons to get involved.

With this role you’ll be working as part of the Extended Brief Interventions Team working with low level drug and alcohol clients, mainly supporting group work. The role is based across Manchester. No two days are the same and we treat every person who comes into our service as an individual, so being flexible, curious and a good listener are key. We will support you in this volunteering role by ensuring that you receive regular supervision and have someone on site who you can approach for day‑to‑day advice and guidance. In return for the time that you give you will receive valuable training and gain experience and skills. You’ll be making a real difference too.

Responsibilities
  • Support group work with low level drug and alcohol clients.
  • Listen to people, share what you have heard with the service, represent their views, and use their feedback to help inform how we develop and improve our services.
  • Ensure the safety and well‑being of all children, young people and adults, demonstrating commitment to best safeguarding practice.
  • Participate in regular supervision and training.
Qualifications
  • Demonstrated understanding of and commitment to best safeguarding practice.
  • Ability to commit to 1–3 days per week and to continue volunteering for up to one year.
