Aftercare Recovery Worker (Fixed Term, 12 months)

Responsibilities
- Support the service user to connect with activities, support to sustain recovery, and reach their goals set out in their aftercare plan (e.g. training, employment support).
- Facilitate post‑treatment groups across West Kent in community settings, outside of CGL hubs, to support individuals in progressing their recovery journey independently of services.
- Provide service users with information on options available to them within the service and in their communities.
- Collaborate with the Tier 4 Worker, Locality Leads, and Partnership Lead to engage partner agencies that service users can access for support following treatment.
- Build positive relationships with aftercare providers to ensure recovery support is available to support post‑Rehab early abstinence (e.g., Build on Belief, Reach out & Recover, Fellowship Groups, Aspire2be, SMART).
- Work collaboratively with the Service User Inclusion Worker to understand post‑treatment needs, ensuring the voices and preferences of service users are heard and reflected.
- Working with Peer Mentors/Volunteers to provide Recovery Check‑Ins.
Qualifications & Experience
- Excellent knowledge of inpatient detox and residential services.
- Experience of working within multidisciplinary teams and fostering positive relationships with partner agencies and external providers.
- Experience of working with people at all stages of their treatment journey and an in-depth knowledge of the importance that group work and aftercare support offers.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills and the ability to provide effective advocacy when needed.

- Salary: CGL points 23 to 28 (£28,557.79 – £32,802.41).
