We are looking to recruit an Alcohol Support Volunteer to support our busy Alcohol Team. Volunteering with Change Grow Live is a great way to make a real difference in people’s lives whilst gaining valuable experience. Whether you want to give back to your community, develop new skills, or meet like-minded people, there are plenty of reasons to get involved.
At Change Grow Live you will be working with people to support change and the direction of their life, to grow as an individual, and to live life to its full potential. With this role you’ll be working as part of the Alcohol team, based in CGL, Luton Recovery Alliance service. No two days are the same and we treat every person who comes into our service as an individual, so being flexible, curious and a good listener are key.
As an Alcohol Support Volunteer, you will be working as part of the Alcohol team, assisting them in their caseload management, supporting the service user through all aspects of their treatment journey. This can include completing assessments, supporting people to attend community and inpatient detox’s, assisting group work and undertaking one to one work. You will be an integral team member and will play an active role in helping our service users achieve their goals.
You will receive training and support and you could work towards holding a small caseload of clients.
Training:
- Mandatory Volunteer Induction training
- Mandatory Boundaries/Confidentiality training
- Required Drug Awareness training
- Required Harm Reduction training
- Required Alcohol Awareness training
Please note that we require you to be 18 years of age or older to be considered for this volunteering role. This post is subject to a Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check at an enhanced level.
