Criminal Justice Recovery Coordinator – Waltham Forest
Waltham Forest | Full Time | Permanent | 37.5 Hours per Week

We’re looking for a compassionate and motivated Criminal Justice Recovery Coordinator to join our Waltham Forest team, supporting people involved with the criminal justice system who are affected by drug and alcohol use. This role specifically focuses on supporting prison leavers as they transition back into the community, helping them continue their treatment and recovery journey after release from custody.
This is an opportunity to do genuinely meaningful work — helping people rebuild stability, improve wellbeing and move towards healthier, more independent lives. No two days are the same. One moment you may be supporting someone attending treatment for the first time, the next you could be working alongside probation, prisons or healthcare professionals to help someone remain engaged in recovery. - Has experience within substance misuse, criminal justice, health, social care or a related field

Please note: Salary is subject to review in line with the 2025/26 pay award. Please note: Full-time hours at Change Grow Live are 37.5 hours per week. For part-time roles, salary and payments will be pro rata based on contracted hours.
Responsibilities
- Supporting service users throughout their treatment and recovery journey
- Completing assessments, recovery plans and onward referrals
- Supporting prison leavers to engage with community treatment services
- Reducing drug and alcohol related harm
- Working closely with probation, prisons and partner agencies
- Supporting safeguarding and risk management processes
- Promoting recovery, resilience and social reintegration
- Maintaining accurate records and contributing to performance reporting
