Salary: £27,861.26 - £32,002.35 (+ London Weighting depending on residence)

About the Role

As a Recovery Co-Ordinator for the LIDASP you will support individuals with substance misuse issues in preparing for inpatient detoxification/stabilisation by providing structured guidance and emotional reassurance to ensure readiness for detox/stabilisation admission. This is an office/hybrid role with regular travel to community providers and inpatient units across London. Ideally, you will be located within easy reach of the city. You will maintain strong relationships with community providers and inpatient providers, ensuring timely placements and seamless care for service users across London.

What You'll Be Doing

  • Positively promote the use of residential detox/stabilisation services as a key treatment option for all
  • Promote flexibility and openness in local approach, break down barriers to access for residential detox/stabilisation services - i.e., values-based, person-centred, and individualised care and support
  • Co-ordinating pre-admission requirements and building trust with individuals that engage with our service.
  • Delivering face-to-face or online education-oriented sessions to staff working within the City of London regarding the referral process to the online portal
  • Gathering feedback from service users and partner agencies
  • Completing pre/post check-in telephone calls

  • Experience and understanding of substance misuse and related support services
  • Confidence working with individuals and groups, including navigating challenging situations
  • Clear and effective communication skills, both written and verbal, with good IT confidence
  • The ability to work independently, stay organised, and manage competing priorities
  • An understanding of mental health needs and good practice
  • Strong partnership-working skills across different teams and organisations
  • A person-centred approach, with the ability to adapt and respond positively to change
  • A commitment to safeguarding, information governance, and ethical practice
