Not all learning sticks. Yours will. At Change Grow Live, we don’t create learning for the sake of it. We create learning that changes behaviour, builds capability and improves lives. Behind every service we deliver is a workforce that needs the right skills, at the right time, in the right way. That’s where you come in.

Guided by our values—Be open, be compassionate and be bold—we’re building an organisation that is built on evidence and compassion, and rooted in communities, aligned to our 2030 ambitions.

This isn’t a traditional L&D role. We’re looking for a Learning Design Manager who can take real organisational challenges and turn them into learning that sparks, engages and delivers. Not click-through content. Not box-ticking training. But learning that actually lands—that changes how people think, work and perform.

What makes this role different

  • You won’t be producing content—you’ll be shaping how the organisation learns.
  • You’ll sit at the centre of learning, technology and organisational need.
  • You’ll design learning that is seen, felt and sustained—not forgotten.
  • You’ll have the space to innovate, challenge and do things differently.

Who you are

  • You’re not just creative—you’re purposeful.
  • You’ve led learning design in complex organisations.
  • You know how to build blended and digital learning that works.
  • You can translate business need into learning people actually engage with.
  • You’re confident leading people, projects and stakeholders.
  • You understand learning science, behaviour change and what drives performance.
  • You’re comfortable using technology, tools and data to improve learning.
  • Most importantly—you care about creating learning that makes a difference.

The details

  • Location: National role (hybrid, with regular travel). Your contractual base will be your nearest Change Grow Live office to your home address.
  • If your contractual base is in London, you will also receive London Weighting in line with Change Grow Live policy.
  • Please note: Salary is subject to review in line with the 2025/26 pay award.
  • Full-time hours at Change Grow Live are 37.5 hours per week. For part-time roles, the salary and payments will be pro rata based on contracted hours.

Responsibilities

  • Design learning that delivers impact. You’ll lead the design and development of blended learning solutions—ensuring they are engaging, accessible and aligned to real organisational need.
  • Set the standard for learning design. You’ll establish and embed quality, governance and consistency across all learning design activity—ensuring every intervention meets a high, evidence-based standard.
  • Lead and grow a specialist team. You’ll lead, coach and develop a learning design team—building capability and ensuring delivery is coordinated, high-quality and outcome-focused.
  • Turn complexity into clarity. You’ll translate organisational priorities, stakeholder needs and system constraints into clear, practical and engaging learning solutions.
  • Make learning stick. You’ll champion learning science, digital innovation and blended approaches—ensuring learning is applied in practice, not just completed.
  • Work across the organisation. You’ll partner with subject matter experts, operational leaders and digital teams to ensure learning is connected, relevant and embedded into day-to-day practice.
  • Use insight to drive improvement. You’ll use data, feedback and analytics to evaluate impact—continually refining learning so it keeps pace with organisational change.
