We are looking for a dedicated and passionate Healthcare Assistant to join HMP Wandsworth, pro-actively assist in the delivery of comprehensive interventions aimed at improving health & wellbeing for service users. The Healthcare assistant role is a varied one, the successful candidate will be an integral member of a multidisciplinary team, supporting with specialist clinical interventions to people who use our services.
Where: HMP Wandsworth
Hours: 37.5 per week
Contract Type: Permanent Full-time hours at Change Grow Live are 37.5 hours per week. For part-time roles, the salary and payments will be pro rata based on contracted hours.
Responsibilities
About the role:
- Working closely with your Nursing team to develop pathways to care
- Support service users in opiate and alcohol interventions.
- You will support on harm reduction interventions along with physical and mental health assessments.
- Keeping the people who use our services at the heart of everything you do
About you:
- Good interpersonal skills and a willingness to work flexibly as part of a team
- Experience of working within substance misuse or a social care setting would be an advantage but not essential
- A clear understanding of the need for and ability to deliver quality services
- Good organisational skills
- Confidence to work on own initiative as well as part of the team
- Communicate confidently and effectively, verbally and in writing
- Respond flexibly to the demands of the post
