We’re seeking a dedicated Hospital Liaison Healthcare Assistant to join our compassionate and diverse team in Kings Lynn—a group of professionals committed to supporting individuals at the Queens Elizabeth Hospital Kings Lynn with compassion.
The post holder will work across the hospital site (e.g. A&E and admissions wards) to provide rapid access to assessment, brief interventions/harm minimisation and support discharge planning/onward referrals for people attending hospital with substance misuse related issues. Where: Kings Lynn (Queen Elizabeth Hospital), Norfolk
Hours: full time, 37.5 hours per week
Full Time Salary: £25,077-£26,502 dependent on experience (based on full time working hours, pro rata if part time)
About the role:
- Working closely with your Nursing team to develop pathways to care
- Support service users in opiate and alcohol interventions within a hospital setting
- You will support on harm reduction interventions along with physical and mental health assessments
- Keeping the people who use our services at the heart of everything you do
About you:
- Good interpersonal skills and a willingness to work flexibly as part of a team
- Experience of working within substance misuse or a social care setting would be an advantage but not essential
- A clear understanding of the need for and ability to deliver quality services
- Good organisational skills
- Confidence to work on own initiative as well as part of the team
- Communicate confidently and effectively, verbally and in writing
- Respond flexibly to the demands of the post
- It is desirable that you have a full UK driving license as travel within Norfolk will be required for this role
